Brian Gill & Katrina Mikiah

Live Performance Series!!

Hello friends,

I'd like to invite you to join Brian and me for a cozy "house concert" sponsored by the Palouse Folklore Society this Thursday, Jan. 3rd.

We will be singing acoustic music including lively folk songs and soothing ballads written by some of the greatest songwriters of the last century plus some of Brian's own beautiful songs.

We welcome your presence and the opportunity to share the beauty of music with you.

Brian & Katrina recently teamed up to perform on the Palouse, and have been a hit at the local coffee houses and farmers markets! Now they are heading for the big time, coming to the Attic just for you (January 3rd!) Just think 50's car guy meets 60's gospel singer, with a little eco friendly flower power, singing folk classics, eclectics, and some mighty fine originals too, with a few holiday favorites, and assorted improvised spoofs of our well loved Palouse celebrities!!  If you are somebody noticeable, you'll probably be roasted gently but noticeably here!

Brian Gill Bio

Brian Gill is an acoustic singer-songwriter from Chicago’s famous folk music clubs, The Earl of Old Town and The No-Exit Cafe. A seasoned performer on mid-west radio, television and festivals, he has sung with such folk luminaries as Joan Baez, Pete Seeger, Bob Gibson, Steve Goodman and Phil Everly to name a few.

Brian gained national attention in 1988 when his topical song “Daddy Smoked His Life Away” was chosen by the American Cancer Society to spearhead the now annual campaign, “The Great American Smoke Out.”

He has toured nationally on college campuses and has sung for Chicago’s Urban Gateways, bringing educational music programs into school classrooms. Chicago Magazine describes Brian as “an excellent guitarist and well established songwriter whose lyrics and melodies radiate a country mid western feeling all their own.” He has been a staff writer for a major publishing house and has showcased at Nashville’s premier songwriter venue, The Bluebird Cafe. He now resides in Moscow, Idaho.
